I’m so happy to have been nominated by Pinki Jana – author of the blog ‘Scribble and Story‘ for this Blogger Recognition Award. Pinki sketches amazing drawings that never fail to leave you dumbfound. She also writes worth reading reviews of various types of books. She is a lady full of inspiration, who speaks less and is a good listener. Thank you dear for considering me worth for this nomination!
About the Blogger Recognition Award
The Blogger Recognition Award is an award given in recognition of all the hard work that goes into creating a blog. It is a way for bloggers to support, motivate and promote other bloggers who have clearly put in huge amounts of time and effort, and produced valuable content.
Bloggers are very talented people – they work hard, they promote, market, advertise, run a busy site.
They organise all kinds of activities, they encourage, motivate, interact, engage and are community orientated. It matters not if they are shy and reticent or loud and personable – each actively progressive blogger is the same – they all work hard and passionately with their blogs, they put the hours in to deliver to their audience each day a welcoming location to read, absorb, learn and have fun.
To escape the hustle bustles of city life, or the begrudgeries of boredom – they entice readers to peruse their pages to look for entertainment.
That is what the Blogger Recognition Award celebrates.
The Award Rules
- Write a post displaying your award.
- Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you, and provide a link to their blog.
- Tell the story of how your blog started.
- Give two pieces of advice for new bloggers.
- Nominate other bloggers for the award.
- Let the nominees know that you have nominated them.
Story Behind My Blog
I’ve written about my story earlier, so I am only going to copy-paste the same here.
The first time I was struck with the idea was when I was attending a foreign studies seminar. In the power point presentation, one bullet point read that blogging was considered a good extra curricular activity. I gave it thought, but then I wasn’t sure what to blog about because writing was never my hobby. After a few months, I shared this idea of blogging with a very dear friend of mine, Kriti, and it didn’t take her long to start blogging! I thought, “Okay wow, it’s so not cool to be a coward soul. Anyways no is going to read your blog, let’s just start it anyhow and the consequences can be dealt with later.”
I opened WordPress on 31 January 2019, with zero clarity of mind on what my blog should be about. The first thought that popped up in my mind was, “Girl, how about a collection of all your science and mathematics related articles and information?” Yes readers, that’s what blogging was to me for the first few days.
But then I myself got bored with it. I thought about changing the crux topic of my blog and landed on the decision of writing my heart out here. I started writing poems and six words stories that boosted my interest in blogging. I started to feel more relieved and comfortable in my own skin. Blogging became my escape and reliever.
I was and am blessed with many amazing blogger readers who glister with their prowess writing and it’s my utmost pleasure to have been able to connect with them here.
My Advice For New Bloggers
I don’t think I am right person to advise new bloggers anything. I would only like to say that be true to yourself, write what means to you, have your own opinion and enjoy this amazing blogging community!
I would like to keep the nominations open.
Thank you for reading!
Congratulations 🎈
