I started blogging around 2.5 months ago with an absolutely blank mind. At first, I did not have any intention to start a blog. It was not very late when I realized that blogging was a medium where I can sort of preserve my thoughts so that I can look back upon these rantings later in life. At the initial stages of blogging, I somewhat lost interest in writing, I had nothing to admire and write about. I did not have any daily dose of motivation to wield about. But then I realized that inspiration is literally everywhere, it is just that am I able to extract the right vibes from it?
From then on, I had millions of thoughts and ideas in my mind, all mixes of emotions, like all had come together at once. Apart from my improved ability to express my thoughts, blogging had taught me so many things that I do not think anything else could have. I have briefed both good and bad things that I’ve encountered yet in bullet points as follows :
- Make friends not followers
- Grammar and vocabulary does not needs to be “perfect”
- Inspiration is everywhere, just find it
- Content and the ability to connect with others is all that matters
- Stop giving a damn about your statistics
- Only a small fraction of your total followers turn up
- Many people have pride in hitting ‘Blind Likes’
- There is so much to learn from every post
- All perspectives need to be respected equally, all voices shall find place
- Everything is worth it, no matter good or bad
Thank you for your kind read.
Stay happy and healthy. Have a wonderful day! Smiles!
You always make me smile even on your/my worst days…I loooove.

This is super true, we shouldn’t focus on our statistics nor the amount of followers, only few are the followers that stick to every post, most of the times. 🙂
And like you said, one of my favorite things about blogging is that you have a place to express yourself and have a voice on the internet.
Awesome post!!! 😀 ❤

I definitely agree with you. I believe in making friends than followers. Blogging is indeed an amazing platform to pen your thoughts and have your space.😊❤

A deep truth hidden in plain sight. The observations you’ve made are really the stepping stones of this journey we call blogging.
It’s been more than a year, and I can say, having witnessed all sorts of stuff that goes around here, that your points are more than true.
I wish people would realise it sooner, to be a friend and not just a follower for blind likes.

Yes indeed. I am happy to know that you found them relatable. Yes I hope people realise this wrong practice of having followers for plain likes. Making a friend here, is worth more than a 100 likes!

I’ve been blogging for almost six years, but I was so inept in the beginning it was ridiculous. I had about 7 likes and 0 comments my whole first year! I just didn’t get the whole “social” aspect. Cracks me up to think about it. You are off to a great start. 🙂

Thanks for sharing the details from your blogging experience. I agree that blogging is much more fun when one engages with the readers. Blogging should be much more than a set of statistics.

Thank you for reading. Yes, having engaging conversations and interactions is what makes blogging fun. Statistics are just numbers which holds no value before the friends you make here!🙂
