Scars.

Rusted fragments of fingernails
Fall from my lips
The bitterness remains on my tongue
Wrenches open the wound

Now pour those celluloid dreams into me
A tattoo of a four-letter word on my healing scar

In the slipping rhythm
A melody dances raggedly
It plays on, not noticing
The buttons are unbuttoned wrong

Dance covered in colorless flowers
And our dance, leading the stretched out song

Your profile melts into the wind and washes away
I want wounds that I can tear open
I’ll never again cross your broken melody
Though I scream at you to disappear

Tomorrow my dear, tomorrow
I’ll still be wearing the same shadow

Dead poem’s still alive
Dead poem’s still alive in me
Dead poem’s still screaming
Dead poem’s still screaming inside me

I pray to these songs
That will never again speak
The days we shared
Was love without diversion

The voice repeating the sobbing song
In my ears, tears my heart out

I see your hand grabbing the back of your hair
I’ll never again cross your broken melody
The warped melody
Which still rings inside me
